The Engagement Center
The Engagement Center supports young people 16-24 year-olds as they work toward their educational and employment goals.
There are over 5,000+ young people ages 16-to-24 in the Flint Area who are not enrolled in school and are unemployed, also known as Opportunity Youth (OY). The Engagement Center connects Opportunity Youth to education, employment, and wraparound services to achieve financial success and independence.
Through alliances with 25+ local organizations and our knowledgeable Success Navigators, we use a personalized approach to help each client achieve a brighter future:
Our referral process begins with a consultation.
This allows our Success Navigators to get to know clients and assess their situations. This helps us know how we can best support them.
Then, we identify resources each client qualifies for.
No more spending countless time searching through resources alone! We’ve done the hard work of connecting with a variety of local resources to ensure we have options that fit our client’s needs.
Finally, we connect clients to resources.
To make sure the connection process goes smoothly, we stick with our clients the whole way and check in with them even after they are connected. This ensures they are supported to overcome any additional challenges that may arise.
